Homeland “Pilot” Season 1 Episode 1 (s1e1)
“Pilot” is the first episode of the psychological thriller TV series Homeland. It originally aired on Show time on October 2, 2011.The episode focuses on the return home of Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), rescued after eight years as a prisoner-of-war in Afghanistan. While Brody is celebrated as a hero, CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) believes Brody to actually be acting as a sleeper agent for al-Qaeda. The pilot was universally acclaimed by critics[1] and was the highest-rated drama premiere on Show time since 2003.
